A automotive industry system major supplier entrusted us with the industrialization of a valve body for<\/strong> a water pump<\/strong>, which had previously been made by turning, by means of a brass deep-drawing<\/strong>. The objective was to reduce production costs without compromising the technical specifications of the component.<\/p>\n

Co-design for automotive cold forming.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Through a co-design process, our technical department analysed the geometry of the component and simplified the design to make it compatible with\u00a0 cold forming on a transfer\u00a0 press, without altering its functionality.<\/p>\n

The solution resulted in more than 50% material savings compared to the original turning process and a significant increase in throughput.<\/p>\n
