Metal thermal treatments: the right properties for each component.

Metal heat treatment is a fundamental step in determining the final mechanical properties of a component: the hardness, strength, ductility and quenching of metals directly depend on the thermal process applied.

In Sifral we are also engaged in thermal treatment of steel and other materials through specialised partners around Brescia. In this way we are the single point of contact for the customer and guarantee finished components with the required technical features.

Annealing

Heat treatment that reduces the internal stresses of the metal, improving its ductility and machinability for subsequent steps.

Solubilisation

Thermal process applied mainly to stainless steel to restore the original material properties after cold deformation.

Hardening

Heat treatment of steels which increases the hardness and strength of the component through controlled rapid cooling.
